HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DENGAN KINERJA GURU DI SMP NEGERI SE-KECAMATAN UNAAHA KABUPATEN KONAWE

ABSTRACT : Formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is a relationship between headmaster leadership with the teacher performance in Secondary Schools in all Unaaha District Konawe Regency?. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between headmaster leadership with the teacher performance in Secondary Schools in all Unaaha District Konawe Regency. The population in this study were all Secondary Schools teachers in Unaaha District Konawe Regency. Determination o f the sample size at each school conducted random sampling, so the overall sample size namely 59 people. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis found that there is a positive relationship between headmaster leadership styles with teacher performance as indicated by the regression equation Y = 9.87 + 0.84 X. Regression analysis showed that each increase or decrease the score variable headmaster leadership will be followed by an increase or decrease in scores for teacher performance variables of 0.84 at constant 9.87. This means that the better headmaster leadership in in Secondary Schools in all Unaaha District Konawe Regency, then the higher the teachers performance. Correlation test results showed that the positive and significant correlation between headmaster leadership with teacher performance as indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.775 with a determination 0.6006 meaning that 60.06% increase in teacher performance is influenced by the leadership of headmaster. Thus, the level of teacher performance is closely connected with the headmaster leadership; so as to improve the performance of teachers will require good headmaster leadership.

. HASIL DAN PEMBAHASAN

A. Deskripsi Data Hasil Penelitian

Deskripsi data hasil penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk memberikan gambaran secara jelas mengenai keadaan tiap variabel yang diteliti yaitu variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah (X) dan kinerja guru (Y). Untuk lebih jelasnya deskripsi data hasil penelitian dari masing-masing variabel akan diuraikan sebagai berikut.

1. Deskripsi Data Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah (X)

Data variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah diukur dengan menggunakan angket yang terdiri dari 35 pernyataan yang menggunakan Skala 1 sampai 5 sehingga skor tertinggi setiap pernyataan adalah 5 dan skor terendah adalah 1, sedangkan secara teoritik skor tertinggi adalah 175 (5 x 35) dan skor terendah adalah 35 (1 x 35). Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan statistik deskriptif variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah pada lampiran 4 halaman 74-76, dapat dilihat bahwa skor maksimum 109, nilai minimum 84, rata-rata (X) 97,97, median(Me) 97,86, modus(Mo) 97,78, dan standar defiasi (S) 5,66.

2. Deskripsi Data Kinerja Guru (Y)

Data Variabel kinerja guru diukur dengan menggunakan angket yang terdiri dari 30 pernyataan dengan menggunakan skala 1 sampai 5 sehingga skor tertinggi pada setiap pernyataan adalah 5 dan skor terendah adalah 1. Sedangkan secara teoritik skor tertinggi adalah 150 (5x30) dan skor terendah adalah 30 (1x30).

A. Kesimpulan

Berdasarkan pembahasan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah (X) dengan kinerja guru (Y) di SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Unaaha Kabupaten Konawe. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai kinerja guru ditentukan oleh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Dengan demikian semakin baik kepemimpinan kepala sekolah diterapkan maka semakin tinggi kinerja guru, demikian sebaliknya semakin kurang baik kepemimpinan kepala sekolah diterapkan maka makin rendah kinerja guru.
